After studying economics and statistics at Virginia Tech, I spent a decade in the beauty industry: growing a six-figure chair, leading customer experience transformations, designing a coaching program for hundreds of stylists, and managing 30+ employees. It was a lot to process! I wanted to better understand the theory and research behind what worked and what didn’t.
In 2018, I began the M.S. in Organization Development at American University. Soon, I was using what I learned to sell my salon and start two new businesses: a solo boutique called Lifelove LLC and Unscramble Consulting.
The pandemic saw me pivot again, this time to the federal sector. I helped several agencies through strategic change initiatives and technology implementations and honed my consulting skills with two DC-area firms.
I spent late 2023-2024 prioritizing my physical health, publishing a memoir, creating a free newsletter, and volunteering (Luray Downtown Initiative, Crisis Text Line, and Aliver Foundation).
I love to hike, putter around the garden, and read. About 90% of my “fun” reading and podcast consumption concerns psychology or health. I’m endlessly fascinated by human systems.
I relaunched Unscramble Consulting in May 2024, operating from my home in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
